 Term 3 - Badminton

We're now turning our attention to 

 

Term 2 - Gymnastics

In our gymnastics lessons, we have been refining all of our previously-taught skills in rolling, jumping and balancing to produce aesthetically-pleasing sequences which incorporate apparatus. This linked to our parkour session and how we had learnt to travel on and off equipment carefully.

Term 2 - Circuit Training

This term will be all about one of our key curriculum drivers - resilience! We will be building our stamina week by week with exercises designed to target different muscle groups in our bodies.

Term 1 - Football

We've also been developing our collaboration and physical skills in football, with lessons on maintaining possession, effective attack and defence strategies and ball control. We then finished off this unit of work with a mini tournament.

Term 1 - Tag Rugby

This term, we have been working on improving our throwing & catching and teamworking skills for invasion games. During each lesson, we are working on a different skill which is important to be able to be play tag rugby. These include:

- hand-eye co-ordination

- passing (including spin passing)

- catching at different heights

- dodging

- quick decision making

In each lesson, we have a particular skill focus and then try and apply this in a game at the end, as we are also working on understanding tactical play.
