Term 3 - Persuasive Writing
To commence the Spring term, we are learning all about persuasive writing, linking this to our current World War Two topic. We began by studying some famous speeches by world leaders such as Neville Chamberlain and Winston Churchill, looking at their writing style and persuasive language choices.
From there, we planned out and wrote some of our own broadcasts to play out over 'the wireless' which attempt to persuade the British public of the 1940s to support Government campaigns such as Dig for Victory, Make Do and Mend or The Blackout.
Check back soon for some of these broadcasts to be made available for you to listen to at home!
