RE

In RE, we have used the Lincs Agreed Syllabus to create our school curriculum. RE is taught using a worldview approach; composed of both religious and non-religious worldviews. We explore the way people make sense of the world and the impact this has on the way they live their lives.

We explore four units in Year 1; looking at both religious and non-religious beliefs and practices linked to each. Our units are all linked to the four progression strands and we ask questions linked to theology, philosophy and social science.

Autumn 1 - What do stories from religious traditions teach about God? What can we learn from other stories?

Autumn 2 - How are stories and celebrations linked?

Spring 1 & 2 - What do creation stories teach people about God and human nature?

Summer 1 & 2 - What do people learn from stories and festivals?
