Peace and Reflection 2025-26

In our Collective Worship with Jenny this week, we were given some great ideas on how we could create some more peace at home and help our grown ups. 

Our collective worship councillors helped Jenny to stick the ideas onto the house and read some verses from the Bible about peace. 

Our Forces Club lead our collective worship for us on Remembrance Day and parents were invited to listen to the children's prayers and poems, and to see their art work. 

Mrs Woolsey meets with the children every week and in the run up to Remembrance Day, the children learn about why it is so important and the links to our church school value of peace. 

The children did a fantastic job and wrote thoughtful poems and prayers which showed how much they had learnt. 

During our first Collective Worship about peace, Jenny spoke to us about what peace is and what it can feel like when things are peaceful. She asked us to think about how we can bring peace to other people and we listened to the story 'Peace at Last' where Mr Bear couldn't get any peace at all! Jenny brought us two symbols of peace to look at; a dove and a lily. 

We finished our Collective Worship with a prayer for people around the world who do not have peace in their lives and are living amongst war and conflict. 

Peace and Reflection 2024-25

Our Forces Club led a beautiful collective worship to teach us about Remembrance Day. They created poppies, poems and wrote prayers asking for peace. 

Mr Housam supported our Collective Worship council to lead a collective worship about our school value; peace. The children talked about where they find peace and created art work to show us. They acted out the story of Daniel and the lion's den to show us how we can find peace in God. 

Peace and Reflection 2023-24

Our Forces Club have been working hard every week since September and created some beautiful and poignant poems, prayers and creative writing to read out to the school.
