Hot Meals and Cool Milk

Thank you for visiting our Hot Meals Page. Here you will find information regarding the meals we offer together with instructions how to order them.

Catering Company:

Meals are currently provided and brought in to us by Good Lookin' Cookin'. The company is based locally (just outside Lincoln) and are committed to using local produce and providing a good, healthy meal for our pupils each day.  The meals are prepared at their premises and delivered to school in hot boxes just before the lunch time break.  Meals can be purchased each week by ordering them by 1pm on the Monday of the previous week. Menus can be accessed and bookings made via the school website. All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible to receive a meal free of charge (Universal Infant Free School Meals).  Meals must still be booked for these pupils.  Alternatively pupils may bring a packed lunch into school.

Paying for lunches:

Menus are available online. There are four meal options each day – a hot meal, a vegetarian option, a jacket potato option and a cold option. Please select one only. The dessert is automatically included and there will always be a small selection of fruit or yoghurts available if your child prefers not to have the dessert.

Wisepay is our online payment system. This allows parents to choose their child's hot meals and pay online. The system is quick and easy to use and enables parents to pay for meals at their convenience. For pupils who are eligible for free school meals, parents are able to order this the same way, but the system will not ask for any payments.

The cut off for ordering is on a Monday at 1pm the week before or the last week of term for the first week back after a holiday.  Wisepay will still allow you to go through the process of ordering but if it is after the 1pm deadline they will not be submitted to our system and therefore the meals will not ordered.

Please see the help guide (parent pencil/parents support guides) if you need further assistance.

Meals cost  £2.41 per day.

If you feel that you may be entitled to receive free school meals for your child, then please contact the school office or click on the following link:  Apply for free school meals – Lincolnshire County Council Parents of pupils in KS1 who now receive a meal free of charge, should be aware that it is still important that if you are eligible for free school meals by virtue of your circumstance, you apply for formal free school meal status and that you maintain this, as only through this formal process is additional funding made available to the school to support your child. This funding is intended to close the gap in attainment levels between those pupils from low-income and disadvantaged families and their peers. At no time are pupils entitled to free school meals identified as such within the classroom / peer groups. A formal entitlement to free school meals also enables parents to access  subsidies for music lessons and trips.

We hope that your child will enjoy the new selection of meals and that you will continue to support the hot meals service. As always, we welcome your feedback and will keep you informed of any ‘Speciality Days’ or opportunities to come and eat with us. In the event that you have any concerns about the school meals, please contact the school and NOT the caterer, so that we are aware of issues and can discuss these with both you and the caterer.
