FONS Eater Egg Competition
Just before the Easter Break, pupils were sent home with a small egg to decorate for a competition. The results were amazing, with some very innovative and original ideas coming in. The eggs submitted were judged by Canon Kathryn Windslow who found it very difficult to choose between so many wonderful entries. A sample of the eggs sent in are shown below. Apologies that we don't have room to include everyone's entry, but thanks go to everyone who did enter and well done on all the effort that was put in to this project. Thanks as always to FONS for organising it all.
AQT Maths Challenge Morning!
A group of children from Year 1 to 6 came together to solve this problem mathematically:
What is our school's favourite part of Christmas?
(It was presents!)
We used a range of handling data skills from pictograms, to bar graphs and pie charts!
(See photos below)
Children in our AQT partnership schools also had a go at solving this problem so we would compare our findings by sharing them on our websites.
