Week 3
This week we focused on the prophet Muhammad. We explored a story and related it to Jesus. Muhammad wanted the world to be great. So we spoke about things which are great for us. We learnt the words "Ma Shallah" which stands for 'that/this is great'. We drew some things down which we are great in our lives: such as close family and extended family, pets, hobbies and school.
What does the word 'wudu' mean?
It is an area where they wash their body before prayer.
Can you explain the process of a Muslim washing them self before a prayer?
How many times did they wash their feet?
How many times did they wash their mouth?
How many times did they wash their face?
How many times did they wet their hair?
How many times did they wash their arms?
Well done it was three!
Today we looked at how Muslims pray and learnt that the man of the house leads his family into prayer. We designed our own prayer mats including the moon and star symbol.
