Here are some examples of maths learning completed this week in school. As you can see the children have been working very hard looking at place value. Finding out how many tens and ones are in a 2 digit number. They have also explored 1 more / 1less by using dot:dots. This is also to allow a bit of fun in the classroom by practicing matching the numbers correctly to make a picture. Some children have found it tricky to remember how to do this, as we have looked at this before in school. Remember 18 is split into 1 ten and 8 ones but remember it is not just worth 1 we say it is 10 so the children can see it is bigger than a number one.
Practice partitioning the numbers 45, 58, 23 and 64.
